5. Data Storage and Processing
NDNCI offers different types of tools with varying data processing methods. For complete transparency, each tool clearly indicates its processing method:
Local Processing: Tools labelled local process their inputs in your browser. Their workspace and history stay in browser storage and are not uploaded unless you explicitly enable Sync for an eligible tool.
Optional account sync: Sync is disabled by default. When you enable it, eligible tool data and media are copied to your account storage in our database and object storage. Disabling Sync stops future synchronization but does not delete existing server copies. Clearing browser storage removes only local copies; Media Library uploads remain stored separately until you delete them.
Backend Processing: Cloud-only tools require an account and process data on our servers or with approved providers. Jobs, results, history, and associated media may be stored in our database and object storage to operate the service, restore results, enforce billing, and apply your deletion choices.
External Services: A few tools may use external third-party services. This will always be clearly indicated on the tool page.
Email delivery: We use Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) as an email delivery processor in a European region. Recipient addresses, sender identity, message content and attachments are transmitted for delivery; technical send, delivery, delay, bounce and complaint events are returned to us. We do not collect email opens or clicks. Data is retained according to our operational retention rules and protected by AWS contractual and transfer safeguards.
Please check individual tool pages for specific details about how your data is processed. We are committed to transparency and will always clearly label each tool's processing method.
